The Indiana Gaming Commission has given the green light to Vigo County’s temporary plan for casino funds.

Under this plan, Churchill Downs will pay the county a portion of its monthly gross revenue.

Recently, the county commissioners set up an escrow account to hold these funds until a foundation is established.

The foundation will be responsible for managing and allocating the money.

On Thursday, the Gaming Commission approved the creation of the escrow account, moving forward with the county’s initiative.
