An Evansville man is sentenced to eight years in federal prison and three years’ supervised release after pleading guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

According to court documents, 33-year-old Christopher Scott Poodry pointed a rifle at his neighbor during an argument in June of last year.

Poodry is prohibited from legally possessing a firearm because of his multiple prior felony convictions in Warrick County, including dealing methamphetamine and battery against a public safety official.
