Fire Vehicle Hits Pedestrian in Vigo Co.

The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a fire department pick-up truck heading to a brush fire struck a pedestrian in the roadway.

It happened on Wednesday night around 10:30 on Paddock Place.

The 17-year-old male juvenile was flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Preliminary drug and alcohol results came back negative for the Prairieton/Prairie Creek Fire Department member driving the pick-up truck.
