The Vincennes Mayor’s Office has announced an information meeting is scheduled for Thursday on placing State Road 441 in Vincennes on what is termed a ”road diet.”
It will take place at Vincennes City Hall at 5:30.
State Road 441 runs from US 41 along Willow Street to 6th Street, from 6th to Vigo, and from Vigo to the Lincoln Memorial Bridge.
The focus of the “road diet” would be the section of Willow Street between US 41 and 6th Street.
A portion of Hart Street was recently placed on a “road diet.”
Basically, the four-lane street was made one lane in each direction with a center turn lane and bike lanes.
