Daviess and Gibson Counties shared the state’s lowest unemployment rate in October at 3.0%.
For both counties, that’s six tenths of a percent higher than a year ago.
Martin County’s jobless rate last month was 3.1%, three tenths of a percent higher than the year before.
Dubois County’s rate of 3.3% was seven tenths’ percent higher than October of 2023.
Knox County’s October unemployment rate was 3.8%, eight tenths of a percent higher than a year ago.
Pike County’s rate of 3.9% was also eight tenths of a percent higher.
Sullivan County had a jobless rate of 4.6% in October, a full percentage point higher than October of last year.
And Greene County’s October unemployment rate was 4.7%, nine tenths’ percent higher than October of 2023.
The average unemployment rate of Indiana’s 92 counties in October was 4.0%.
