Gibson Co. Crash Results in Arrest of Madisonville, Kentucky Man

Gibson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Madisonville, Kentucky man Friday morning following a crash near the intersection of State Road 57 and State Road 357 near Oakland City.

Emergency personnel were informed a man had flipped a Jeep and appeared to be under the influence.

The sheriff’s office says 35-year-old Blake Whitson of Madisonville, Kentucky was attempting to leave when a deputy arrived at the scene.

During the investigation, the deputy found drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle.

Whitson was charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Needle, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
