McCormick’s Creek State Park has extended the period the public can cut up and remove certain downed trees to May 2nd.
The cost of one pickup-truck load is $10.
A firewood permit must be obtained for each load at the park’s office between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, which is also when wood can be cut and removed.
The firewood is for personal use only and cannot be sold.
McCormick’s Creek State Park is located at 250 McCormick’s Creek Park Road in Spencer.
