Personal Injury Crash Leads to Arrest of Mount Carmel Woman For OWI

Gibson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Mount Carmel woman for operating While intoxicated Saturday morning following a crash at the intersection of State Road 64 and State Road 65 north of Owensville.

32-year-old Lauren Smith is also facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule Drug, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Deputies say Gray was eastbound on State Road 64 when her vehicle veered left of center and struck a trailer being pulled by a westbound pickup truck.
