Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy Zac Andry returned home from the hospital Wednesday after being shot in the line of duty back in January.
Deputy Andry spent 97 days recovering from his injuries at the University of Louisville Hospital.
He left the hospital on Wednesday and was escorted to his residence by his Law Enforcement Family and First Responders.
Numerous residents lined streets and roads to welcome him back.
Deputy Andry was shot four times while responding to a report of a disabled vehicle on January 3rd.
Louisville police and U.S. Marshals located the suspect, Austin Schepers, in Louisville the following day.
Schepers was shot and killed when he opened fire on police.
