Suspect Arrested after Officer Involved Shooting and Chase

A Santa Claus, Indiana woman was arrested Monday morning after crashing a stolen Chandler police vehicle in a Daviess County, Kentucky field.

Police say 31-year-old Nina Adalina Devillez had earlier crashed her vehicle in Warrick County after fleeing a traffic stop for reckless driving, pulling a sword on a Chandler police officer, was shot by the officer, and stole the officer’s patrol vehicle.

After crashing the vehicle in the field, Devillez got out and fled.

Police had to use a taser to subdue her.

Devillez was taken to Owensboro Health Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
