A Maryland man has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his cellmate at the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute in October of 2024.
29-year-old Joshua Mebane of Silver Spring, Maryland had previously pled guilty to First Degree Murder for the asphyxiation death of Michael Tucker.
According to court documents, Mebane was serving a 45-year sentence in Terre Haute for first degree murder in the District of Columbia.
Mebane was also later convicted of murder and attempted murder in Maryland, committed in 2012, for which he received multiple life sentences.
