Greene Co. Home Damaged in Early Sunday Morning Fire

The Eastern Greene Fire Territory says no injuries were reported in a house fire early Sunday morning in the 8000 block of East State Road 54 near Ridgeport in Greene County.

Fire officials say high winds coming from the rear of the residence significantly contributed to the rapid spread of the fire which heavily damaged the home.

The home was equipped with working smoke alarms which allowed the residents to evacuate safely.

The fire was determined to be accidental in nature.
