Oakland City Man Arrested for Drug Possession

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says an Oakland City man is facing drug charges following a welfare check at the Diplomat Motel on South State Road 57 near Oakland City.

Deputies went to the motel on Tuesday afternoon concerning a possible missing person.

They found 54-year-old Todd Sloan of Oakland City sitting outside his motel room.

They smelled marijuana coming from his room and began an investigation which led to his arrest for Possession of Methamphetamine, a Controlled Substance, Paraphernalia, and Marijuana.
