
35-year-old Alexander Carlquist of Cannelton was booked into the Daviess County Jail Friday in connection with a Valentine’s Day shooting at a cabin on US 231 in Loogootee.
Meanwhile, 41-year-old Nathan Harmon of Loogootee, the man Carlquist is accused of shooting, is also in jail facing drug charges.
Carlquist was captured in Perry County last Saturday and taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
He was released from the hospital and housed in the Daviess County Security Center Friday.
Harmon, who was also released from the hospital, was arrested Tuesday on a drug warrant and new drug charges when Washington Police and Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies went to a residence in northern Daviess County as part of a drug investigation stemming from the shooting.
Carlquist is charged with Burglary with Serious Bodily Injury; Burglary with a Deadly Weapon; Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon; and Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
Harmon was arrested on a warrant for Dealing in Methamphetamine and new charges of Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule Two Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
