An Evansville couple is facing neglect and drug charges after state police found marijuana and a loaded weapon in their vehicle.
Police found a loaded pistol with a 30-round magazine on the backseat floor near two child backseat passengers.
It happened on Wednesday when a state trooper pulled over 21-year-old Trinity Duncan on I-69 in Gibson County for having a missing front bumper and a defective taillight.
Duncan was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Passenger Less than 18-Years Old, Neglect of a Dependent and Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.
The children’s father, 23-year-old Christopher Conlee of Evansville, was arrested for Neglect of a Dependent and Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.
The Indiana Department of Child Services took custody of the two children.
