The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has announced that organizations in 20 Indiana counties across the state will receive over $1.1 million dollars in grants to fund 53 lake and stream projects through the Lake and River Enhancement program.
Sullivan will receive a $100,000 LARE Grant to remove sediment from Lake Sullivan.
Owen County will receive $4,000 for vegetation management on Hollybrook Lake.
Grants totaling over $643,000 will support 11 sediment or logjam removal projects in 10 counties.
Over $473,000 will be used to support 42 projects to combat aquatic invasive plants, involving 52 bodies of water in 13 counties.
