State, Local Health Departments Facing 40-Million-Dollars in Federal Cuts

The Indiana Department of Health and local health departments are dealing with an estimated 40-million-dollars in federal funding cuts.

IDOH communications officer Greta Sanderson says they are “working to minimize the impact on Hoosiers.”

The Trump administration is pulling back eleven-point-four-billion dollars across the country.

Much of the money was used for COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, addressing COVID health disparities, and for community health workers.
