Eight hundred Pounds of Suspected Marijuana and Synthetic Marijuana Discovered in Disabled Vehicle in Posey Co.

Posey County Sheriff’s deputies discovered about eight hundred pounds of suspected marijuana and synthetic marijuana early Saturday morning while assisting a stranded motorist on Interstate 64.

Deputies found the marijuana, valued at around one-million dollars, packaged loosely in trash bags in the cargo bay of the vehicle,

They say it was being transported from Los Angeles to North Carolina.

The driver, 69-year-old Clarance Shipman of Fort Payne, Alabama, is charged with Dealing Marijuana.
