Silverville Man Arrested for Murdering His Father

A Lawrence County, Indiana man was arrested early Saturday morning for murdering his father Saturday night at a residence in the 200 block of State Road 158.

The Lawrence County, Indiana Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Kameron McMaken of Silverville shot his father, 47-year-old Chad McMaken, during an argument.

After obtaining a search warrant, sheriff’s deputies searched the residence and found a gun suspected of being used in the shooting.

In addition to Murder, Kameron McMaken is charged with Aggravated Battery, Criminal Recklessness, and Pointing a Firearm.
