Teachers Warehouse, a nonprofit organization serving public school educators, recently purchased $2,000 in school supplies for Greene County teachers.
The purchase was made possible with the help of a UDWI REMC Community Fund grant, which was awarded to the organization this past quarter.
The National Education Association says teachers spend hundreds of dollars every year on school supplies for their students out of their own pockets.
Teachers Warehouse says it can cut these costs for educators, providing up to $300 worth of materials at no cost to teachers.
