The Terre Haute Police Department released a statement Monday regarding an investigation into a collision between and ambulance and an electric bicycle on April 15th that resulted in the death of one girl and injury of another.
They say the ambulance was responding to a call with its emergency lights activated when it was struck by an electric bicycle at an intersection.
The two kids on the bicycle had run a stop sign.
Both girls were taken to hospitals for treatment, with one later dying from her injuries.
The vehicle’s speed at the time of the collision was determined to be between 37 and 40 mph.
