IDPH Reports First Measles Case of 2025 in Southern Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting the first confirmed measles case in the state in 2025.

The case involves an adult in far southern Illinois.

It was confirmed through laboratory testing on Wednesday.

This is the only case state health officials are aware of and this isn’t considered an outbreak at this time.
