Merom Teen Drowns in Wabash River

The body of a 15-year-old Merom, Indiana boy was recovered from the Wabash River on Saturday.

The Clark County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office responded to the river, southeast of West Union, Illinois, concerning a report if a juvenile in distress.

The sheriff’s office says the boy had been playing with his family in the river before being swept away by the current.
