A Vincennes man accused of shooting his stepfather two years ago will serve no jail time.
That’s the decision by a Knox County judge in the case of James Finley, who is said to have shot his stepfather, Stephen Flowers, after the two got into an argument in 2022.
Flowers survived the shooting.
Finley entered a guilty plea in the case and the judge accepted the deal.
Finley was sentenced to six years under the agreement, three of which will be on work release and the other three on supervised probation.
Finley also must pay 20-thousand-dollars to Flowers to cover medical expenses.
